Rhino Staging has launched operations on the upper east coast as Rhino Northeast. One market of it will encompass New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and southern Connecticut. The other includes Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, and northern Connecticut. The former group is referred to as the New York (NY) market and the latter as the Massachusetts (MA).
Heading Rhino Northeast as Director of Operations is Craig Rizzi, a one-time Rhino returning for a second stint. Rizzi, as he is known, first joined Rhino Tempe in 2002. His very first job assignment was as a loader for a Rolling Stones show at Desert Diamond Arena. When he left in 2008, Rizzi had risen to the role of stage manager, handling both operations and show day duties. Rizzi is overseeing hiring in both of the NY and MA markets and reports that “resumes are flooding in on both fronts!”
In taking charge of Rhino Northeast, Rizzi took a hand-off in January from Rhino’s Business Development team of Lisa Hale and Tammy Dooley. Lisa and Tammy had done 10+ years of work to develop the market before the hand-off. “It is exciting to witness the success of the Northeast market under Rizzi’s direction; we are happy to make the handoff so we can look ahead to new markets,” said Lisa.
By way of further pushing forward with the development of Rhino Northeast, Rhino’s national Director of Training Carolyn DuRoss will be on hand for a training event in May. Carolyn will be conducting a “train the trainers” class for forklift operators in both the NY and MA markets.
