National Director of Training Carolyn DuRoss and her team have been busy at it turning out new and updated training materials. Among these are:

Electrical Safety & Lockout/Tagout

This course is for employees who may be exposed to electrical hazards and for those who, as part of their job, may need to apply a lockout/tagout device to control an energy source (not just electrical energy). People who work positions such as ME, FO, HDR, SAF & SUP are ideal candidates for this training; however, anyone can benefit from the information in this course.

Breakout Room Technician

This course covers the tasks and expectations for a corporate show environment. By the time an employee completes this course, they will be able to: List key details for the role of breakout room technician; recognize typical breakout room configurations; explain key points of media and presentation management; and identify commonly used AV equipment and layouts.

Fly System Safety

This course gives an overview of how fly systems work and instructs the crew on how to be safe around them. It is informational in nature and does not require any written test. There is a section at the end on weight loading, so it can also be used as a prerequisite for in-person weight loading training along with Catwalk Safety and Fall Protection.
